Today I'd like to introduce a Chrome extension I previously developed.
While Google's search engine remains incredibly powerful and has become something most people use without thinking, recent years have seen increasing concerns about information censorship, making it easier for users to inadvertently encounter biased or manipulated content.
Additionally, recent SEO updates have led to corporate websites consistently appearing higher in search results, making personal blogs and other independent sources increasingly difficult to find - a situation that makes it harder to obtain genuinely authentic information.
That's why I regularly use an alternative search engine called "DuckduckGo." This open-source platform proudly claims to never engage in any form of information censorship.
While I primarily use Google Search, whenever I come across information that seems suspicious, I immediately check it using DuckduckGo as well.
However, this requires duplicate searching, so I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if I could display DuckduckGo's search results alongside Google's?" And that's how I created this Chrome extension. It's simple in design, but it effectively shows DuckduckGo's search results on the right side of Google's results page - making it extremely useful.
Furthermore, I've implemented a feature that highlights identical links between Google and DuckduckGo search results by changing their background color. This allows you to quickly identify and focus on links that only appear in DuckduckGo.
While this may not appeal to a wide audience, if you're in a similar situation as me, I'd recommend giving it a try.
You can install it from the Chrome Web Store.
Once installed, there are no additional settings required - it should work immediately out of the box.

The source code for this extension is hosted in the following GitHub repository. Since the functionality is simple, the code itself is straightforward. This may serve as a reference for those looking to create their own Chrome extensions.
